## Pursuits

### Building Relme on v0.dev
*Status: active · Featured*

Building the Relme Website. This is going to be an awesome way for me to leverage v0.dev to build out an application that I've been trying to build out for quite some time. My hope is to get this built out with AI embedded into the entire platform so not only can I use it, but I can also share what I've built with a community.

**Motivation:** the Why is because I think this is cool

**Approach:** I tackles this very carfully

**Outcomes:**
- Increase sales by 20% → Achieved 18%

### Building ZoneCue
*Status: active · Featured*

Build ZoneCue as a simple, frictionless Apple Watch app that helps people decide whether to walk or run based on their heart rate.

**Motivation:** I wanted to find a simple cardio experience that my wife would enjoy. We couldn't find an app that solved this problem without requiring an account, extensive configuration, or frequent interruptions.

**Approach:** I created a website to market ZoneCue and am building out the app. I have tested it on my MacBook through a simulator, but I haven't tested it on a real device or with users yet.

**Outcomes:**
- I'm trying to launch ZoneCue in under 30 days.

Last quarter, I rebuilt our onboarding process. The goal was to make signup faster and more efficient for new users. After the rebuild, signup time decreased by 40%. This work gave me a concrete example of improving a system and measuring the impact through a clear outcome: how long it took someone to complete signup. The result was a faster onboarding experience and a meaningful reduction in the time required to get through signup.

I am a part of a product management team, and I have been learning how to use Power Automate. I am using Power Automate right now to help solve a data and reporting intake problem because they have been overwhelmed with tickets that come in. I automated tickets coming in to teams, and it automates creating an Azure DevOps ticket so they do not have to.

I stay current on new technologies because I watch a lot of YouTube. I play with a lot of tools like ChatGPT, Claude, and Cursor and v0. I like to ensure that I have good and meaningful conversations. I also listen to podcasts where I have been able to catch up on a lot of different trends and tools. That has really helped me stay effective at my work, especially as we leverage those tools as we are building products today.

I work cross-functionally all the time because I work with developers, customer success, marketing, sales, and leadership. I love also working with support because they really help us understand how things actually work and the voice of the customer. There are a lot of things that I have found to be beneficial and to learn cross-functionally while I'm in the product role.

While building ZoneCue, I started learning how to build with Codex, an AI tool, and I also began working with Apple Xcode for the first time. Xcode has been interesting and works well, but I’ve had to work through many nuances that I wasn’t familiar with. As I’ve built the app, I’ve also realized that I may have over-engineered some of the tests and deployment steps. I’m now refining the product and trying to simplify the deployment process so future deployments are cleaner. This experience has taught me to look not only at whether something works, but also at whether the supporting process is more complicated than it needs to be. I’m still working through the implementation, with the goal of producing the best possible solution while learning how to avoid unnecessary complexity in future work.
